Well, really! 😉 In fact, there is a place in Ostrava called Dětský ráj, which can be translated as Kidsˈs Paradise. From time to time, our local babywearing group hosts a ˈgrand testing meetingˈ; this time it was a summer open-air meeting with picnic, where lots of beautiful wraps and interesting carriers were available to try out with the Loktu She wraps being the lead stars. Several wraps came directly from the manufacturer, namely the hot new Navis which came in two versions – Amphitrite and Ahoy, also the shiny new Bird Garden Orinoco, the never-aging Bird Garden Mint and the elegant Rhododendrons Ruby with very special composition. Moreover, as we are really good girls, we threw some of our own wraps in the testing stack, so that our fellow-wearers had enough ˈmaterialˈto cuddle with – my beloved Sea Motion Adriatic (there is a review here), Adriaticˈs equally loved sister Love Motion Isolda (there is no review here yet, and Isolda is really sorry about it 😉 ), and Lindaˈs Bird Garden Apricot Ice Cream.

Loktu She, a company from Liberec founded by four babywearing mothers, released their first wraps in 2016, and since then they managed to become a complete constant on the Czech market. He who among you did not hold at least one Bird Garden in his hand, let him cast the first stone! It is no wonder – high-quality wraps in attractive patterns, great range of colours, with good (and often more than good) tying properties, and moreover very affordable, are very hard to resist! Besides, you could already have read how we have been wearing these Loktu She wraps – in addition to the already mentioned Adriatic, we tested the Raindrops Storm (from the Facebook group Nosíme děti, i.e. We carry our babies) and the beautiful couple of  Carminu a Sapphire, provided directly by the manufacturer.

Today, our job will be very easy, because we want to share our dear babywearing fellowsˈimpressions (our own reviews are to follow very soon 😉 ). For all the testers we hereby thank for the opportunity to test the wraps!

Bird Garden Orinoco (the striped one 😀 )

Pavlína V.:

Wrapped baby – 3 months old, 6 kg. The wrap has beautiful delicate colours and pattern, very soft, holding tight in the carry. I had no problem tying it; it did not move an inch while tightening. Despite the extreme tropical weather I did not feel too hot in the wrap; on the contrary, I felt the wrap has a cooling effect at first! If the wrap had a little bit more boys’ colour, it would definitely be my must have!

Janka H.:

We had the opportunity to try the wrap at the babywearing meeting for a short while and I was literally stunned by its softness and how thin it felt in my hand. It basically tied itself, the tightening was easy peasy and my baby-boy fell asleep right away! When I saw the photos I was not particularly intrigued by it, but after I saw it with my own eyes I must admit that it is really beautiful.

Lucie T.:

I tried this gorgeous wrap with beautiful colours with my daughter (13 months, 9,5 kg) during a very hot day. It felt thin but firm in my hand, I had no problem tightening it and it held tight in the carry in two knots. I felt a little bit less hot in this wrap than I would in an all-cotton one, but after approximately half an hour, my shoulders were a bit sore. I would recommend this wrap for smaller babies.

Rhododendrons Ruby:

Zuzana P.:

I was curious about the composition of this wrap. Despite being very soft and snuggly, it feels a bit like a thick blanket in my hand. The knot is giant and the wrap is very warm. I would not certainly recommend it for little babies, for summer or for inexperienced wearers. On my shoulders, it felt very pleasant and I am sure it could carry a small elephant without any problems. Althought the wrap is soft and feels a bit slippery at first, it held tight in the carry.

Denisa M.:

Wrapped baby – 4 months old, 7kg. It is a beautiful soft wrap, but a bit thick for summer – however, I like such wraps. The knot is really huge, so I would definitely wear it with a sling ring.

Bird Garden Mint:

Zuzana B.:

Wrapped baby – 3 months old, 5,5kg. A great wrap, I had no problems tightening it, it is pleasant and thin. Beautiful summer/spring colour!

Markéta K.:

Thin, soft, great for summer! Putting my little one to sleep in such hot weather is demanding, but it is a lot less difficult if you have the right wrap to help you 🙂 I am very thankful for the opportunity to try it! Wrapped baby – 10 months old, 9 kg.

Kerool M.:

Thank you for the opportunity to try this wrap – I am already sure that Tencel is my must-have blend in the future. A very pleasant wrap, easy to tighten – shortly, my love at first sight! A wonderful wrap!

Love Motion Isolda:

Pavlína V.:

Wrapped baby – 6kg. The colours are gorgeous and vivid, the pattern is simple but beautiful. Isolda is very soft, easy to tighten, holds tight in the carry, it is not slippery at all. Overall, a very cool lady 😉

Lucie T.:

I have always wanted to try Isolda and I am very happy that I finally had the opportunity to do so! The colours of the wrap are really beautiful and although it is a little bit thick, it is very soft and pleasant to touch. I had no problems tying and tightening it, I felt great wearing it and my daughter (13 months, 9,5 kg) was content as well.

Sea Motion Adriatic:

Janka H.:

Now, I know what is the reason of all the hype about this wrap! It is truly wonderful and we need it in our stack. It is thick just enough for me, it is easy to tie and it holds tight in the carry even in one knot. And the colours! We are very thankful for the opportunity to try it!

Markéta K.:

OMG, OMG and once more OMG…! I have no words because everything I could say about this wrap has already been said! This is THE wonderful wrap! Soft, supportive, easy to tie!

Zuzana P.:

Wrapped baby – 3 months old, 5,9kg. I was a little bit afraid of the weight of the wrap at first, 360 g/m² with such a little baby – I thought that such a piece of thick wrap would not be suitable for us. Then, I held it in my own hand and, what a surprise, it does not feel that thick at all! It is very soft, little bit elastic, does not wrinkle. I had no problems tying it, it held tight in the carry. I really love the twill and colours of this wrap. It felt pleasant on bare shoulders, the merino did not “bite” at all; however, it is very warm – it would be a great choice in winter.

Navis Ahoy:

Pavlína V.:

I am very thankful for the opportunity to try this wrap. Ahoy is quite a piece of a sea wolf, indeed! Anyway, I was not afraid to wrap even a tiny 3-months-old, 6kg baby in it. I really liked the pink ˈboatsˈ, but the blue ones were love at first sight – finally, colours and pattern for a real man! JThe wrap is very soft and pleasant to touch, tying was easy; however, it is quite thick and I am sure it could carry an elephant without any problems. The knot is truly big, the wrap held tight in the carry and although there was really a huge amount of fabric on my shoulders, I had very good time wearing it. I will certainly think of buying Ahoy in the near future.

Janka H.:

I was really looking forward to trying the “boats”! Their looks are sooo appealing! The tying was OK, the wrap holds tight in one knot, it is quite thick – but I like such wraps. JHowever, there was no real ˈwow effectˈfor me with this one. I am very thankful for the opportunity to try this wrap!

Navis Amphitrite:

Pavlína V.:

I was not particularly attracted by the „boats“ at first sight, but seeing them live really makes a difference! They are much more beautiful than they seem in promo photos, the pattern is simple but very cute. The wrap is soft, I had no problems tightening it, it holds tight in the carry. It is no ˈgranny’s thick blanketˈbut a very nice, soft and snuggly charmer, very pleasant to wear.

Veronika P.:

I am very thankful for the opportunity to try a wrap with Tencel for the first time. I am excited! It is wonderfully pleasant and easy to work with; if the pattern was different it would certainly be my must-have!

Zuzana P.:

The „boats“ were my love at first sight, first touch and first tying! Beautiful pastel colours, suitable for a girl or a boy as well. It is soft, feels a bit elastic but that is what I like in a wrap. Overall, I am really fond of Tencel. The tightening was easy, the wrap is quite slippery but holds tight in a carry. It feels breathable; however, it is very supportive and pleasant to wear. A great wrap, indeed. It also wrinkles a lot less than other wraps with Tencel.

Bird Garden Apricot Ice Cream:

Denisa M.:

My first impression? An all-cotton wrap, hmm… But anyway, it is a great all-cotton wrap, holds tight in the carry, it is easy to work with. And it is beautiful!

Pavlína V.:

Ice Creamˈs colour is beautiful, tender and sweet, while the pattern is interesting and somehow ˈ3Dˈ. It was easy to tie this wrap, I had no problems tightening it. At first, it seemed slippery, but on contrary, it held tight in the carry. It is a great ˈeverydayˈwrap and one cannot make a mistake buying it.

Everyone at our babywearing meeting were excited to try all the Loktu She wraps – as you can see, not a single wrap was left untied. All of us were eagerly testing, tying, nursing and sleeping in the wraps with great joy! 🙂 We cannot wait to test some new wonderful Loktu She products in the future!
